Residential Interior design is a language of materiality, experiences, and emotion that connect deeply to the individual(s) that live within the created space. For the Flats at Kramer Place, we approached this project as an opportunity to create something that is unexpected with a unique voice connected to the location and architecture. We envisioned the owner of a modern flat, who wanted to be in the middle of a vibrant and young area with a comfortable and modern atmosphere, and an inherently cool vibe.
Inspiration is something that is constant and evolving. We looked at some of the coolest residential and hospitality projects from the west coast to the east coast and created a unique blend of materials and architectural composition to give the interior spaces their own identity in this quickly developing area of Italian Village.
The art and furnishings used in the public spaces and model units are all from attainable sources, readily made from many different furnishings companies and local stores. What is brought together is a combination that is at once modern and comfortable, striking and sculptural, warm and individual. A eclectically curated assortment of materials and art from artists and manufacturers across the country.
